Description
Neyze (نیزه ) is the Persian word for spear or lance. Often slender blades with pronounced central rib and frequently made of wootz steel. Their base is a socket, often octagonal and frequently engraved.
A typical example of the Qajar period (1789-1925). Wootz steel blade.
